In short: please check with your doctor before starting, especially if you are pregnant, postpartum or have any health condition. Listen to your body, and stop if you feel pain.
Not medical advice
MorningHeart provides general fitness and wellness information for educational purposes only. Nothing in our program, website, videos, emails or social media is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for advice from your doctor or another qualified health professional.
Consult your doctor first
Before starting MorningHeart or any new exercise program, please consult your doctor. This is especially important if you:
- are pregnant or think you may be pregnant;
- have recently given birth (vaginally or by C-section). Most women are advised to wait for medical clearance, typically at the 6-week postnatal check or later;
- have or suspect diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse or incontinence;
- have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, diabetes, asthma or another chronic condition;
- have osteoporosis, arthritis, or joint, back or neck problems;
- are recovering from an injury or surgery;
- take medication that affects your heart rate, blood pressure or balance;
- have been inactive for a long time or are unsure whether exercise is safe for you.
Listen to your body
Stop exercising immediately and seek medical attention if needed if you experience:
- pain (especially sharp, joint, chest, back or pelvic pain);
- dizziness, light-headedness or fainting;
- chest pain, pressure or tightness, or an irregular heartbeat;
- unusual shortness of breath;
- pelvic heaviness, pressure, leaking, or bulging/doming of the abdomen;
- any vaginal bleeding or fluid loss during pregnancy.
Mild muscle soreness a day or two after exercising is normal. Pain is not. Always choose the easier version of an exercise or skip it if it doesn't feel right for your body.
No guaranteed results
Everyone's body is different. MorningHeart does not promise any specific outcome, such as weight loss, changes in body shape, or improvements in any medical condition. Any results depend on many factors, including your health, consistency, sleep, nutrition and stress.
Nutrition and habit tips
Our weekly habit tips (such as drinking water, sleeping, eating protein and walking) are general wellness suggestions, not dietary or medical advice. If you have a medical condition, food allergies, an eating disorder history, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, please talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian before making changes.
Exercise at your own risk
By using MorningHeart, you agree that you participate voluntarily and at your own risk. Make sure your space is safe: clear the floor, use a sturdy chair without wheels, wear supportive footwear or exercise barefoot on a non-slip surface, and keep water nearby. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MorningHeart (a Veryeo brand) is not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the program.
Emergencies
If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the US) immediately.
